30 searches a month can be the better number.

Brescia sells to other companies more than it sells to passers by. Search behaves differently when it does.

Most of the money here moves between companies

Brescia runs on metalwork, machining, valves and the firms that supply them. A buyer looking for a subcontractor is not browsing. They have a drawing, a tolerance and a deadline, and they type something narrow and technical.

That query might be searched 30 times in a month across the whole province. Every one of those 30 is somebody with a budget and a reason.

A traffic report will call that a bad month

Any dashboard ranks pages by visits, so the page pulling 30 qualified buyers sits below the blog post pulling 3,000 people who will never buy anything. Studios get judged on the chart, so they chase the chart.

We would rather be judged on which enquiries arrived and what they were worth, and we will tell you when a number went the wrong way and why.

Write for the drawing, not for the category

A page called Metalworking competes with everybody. A page that names the material, the process, the tolerance you hold and the sizes you can take competes with almost nobody, and it answers the question the buyer actually typed.

Those pages read as dull to anyone outside the trade. Inside it, they read as the first supplier who understood the job.

What to measure instead of visits

Count enquiries that named a part or a process. Count the ones that arrived with a drawing attached. Count how many turned into a quote. Three of those in a month is a working site, whatever the traffic graph looks like.

When we are the wrong studio for this

If you sell to the public in volume, most of what is written above stops applying and a different approach earns your money. Say so in the first message and we will tell you honestly whether we are a fit.

Questions worth asking

Is there enough search volume to bother?

For a consumer shop, no, and we would say so. For a supplier the question is wrong: you need the buyers who exist, not more of them. In this trade one new account can matter more than a year of traffic.

Our customers come from trade fairs and word of mouth.

Most of them do, and that will not change. What changes is what happens after somebody hears your name and looks you up, which is now almost everybody. A thin site quietly loses referrals that were already won.

Do we need the site in English too?

If you export, yes, and it matters more than most Italian pages do. A German buyer searching in German will not find an Italian only site, and translation done properly is a smaller job than the site itself.

Who writes the technical pages?

You supply the substance and we write it. Nobody outside your workshop knows your tolerances, and a page inventing them would be found out by the first buyer who read it.

What does this cost?

It depends on how many pages your range actually needs, which we can only tell after looking. The audit is free and comes with no meeting attached.
